SECOND SUNDAY OF ADVENT WORSHIP SERVICE DECEMBER 4, 2022 @ 9:30 AM
As we know, it is the second Sunday of Advent. Yes, we are waiting for the second coming of our Lord while we remember how Jesus came to us. We have to declare that Jesus will come and visit us, so we have to be ready to welcome Him. It is the message for us too. We cannot welcome our Lord without preparation. We must clean inside and outside to join the Kingdom of God.
Rev. Dr.Derek Weber, Director of Preaching Ministries, writes, "So, how does our worship reflect our decision to live as though God’s kingdom has come “on earth as it is in heaven”? By listening to our prayers. By telling our stories of service and witness and hospitality. By singing the songs that embrace this hope as a lived experience and that express our desire for the fulfillment to come. “Come, thou long-expected Jesus, born to set thy people free.” We are living in anticipation of that freedom for all people, not just for us."
My family in Christ, let us gather together. We will worship God and listen to God's words. We will share our thoughts and hearts with our Lord. Also, we are going to attend the Lord's Table.
