Dear Members of the Community,

Allow me to introduce myself as Rev. Dong Hyun Choi, and I encourage you to address me as Pastor "DH." In 2018, I commenced my ministry at the First United Methodist Church of Greenwich, a journey made possible by the grace of God. Alongside my family, we were directed here through the itinerary system of the New York Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church, under the esteemed leadership of Bishop Bickerton. It is a distinctive aspect of the UM Church that my appointment is reaffirmed annually by God.

As an Elder of the United Methodist Church, I am deeply committed to collaborating with the people of God in this vibrant community. With the unwavering support of my wife, Jiseon, and our two sons, Jason and James, we are dedicated to serving God and fostering love among our neighbors here in Greenwich. 

​

My guiding principle is to create harmony in spirituality and balance in diversity. I am passionate about inviting individuals to worship God authentically, recognizing that we bear God's image within us when we gather together. I relish opportunities to connect with God's children and to share our gifts, providing mutual support in our journey with Christ. I firmly believe that the Spirit of God inspires and guides us, revealing God's love, peace, and justice.

It is my firm conviction that each of us reflects the image of God, and it is through communal gatherings that we can fully engage our beings, deepening our understanding of God and enriching our worship. I extend a heartfelt invitation for you to join us. Together, under the guidance of the Spirit of God, we can discover inspiration to embody true Christianity.
